The Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God, Ghana has officially concluded its high-impact visit to First Assembly of God, North Little Rock (FNLR) in Arkansas, United States of America.
The delegation was Led by General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam and his wife, Lady Mrs Monica Wengam. The visit marked the culmination of a spiritual and strategic engagement aimed at deepening global partnerships, exploring collaborative mission opportunities, and enhancing leadership capacity within the Ghanaian church.
Closed-door meeting
A major highlight of the closing activities was a strategic closed-door session between the Executive Presbytery officers and First Assembly of God Lead Pastor, Rev. Rod Loy, who is also a respected member of the National Presbytery of Assemblies of God, USA.
The meeting focused on avenues for deeper missions collaboration between the two Assemblies of God bodies, discussions on leadership development models, and the potential construction of legacy temple projects that reflect both spiritual heritage and modern ministry needs.
Additionally, Rev. Stephen Wengam held a private engagement with Rev. Nick Chakwera, son of the President of Malawi, to discuss cross-national ministry collaboration and the role of Pentecostal leadership in nation-building and diplomacy.
Theme
Furthering this theme, Rev. Wengam also met with Rev. Jason Rapert, President of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers (NACL) and a sitting Senator. Their dialogue focused on ministry strategies aimed at Christians serving in government, exploring faith-based policy advocacy and spiritual support networks for public officials.
As part of the conclusion of their itinerary, the Ghanaian delegation participated in one of FNLR's five Sunday worship services. They also toured specialised ministries within the church including the vibrant children’s chapel and the "Forever Free" service.
