In a heartfelt display of compassion, the Ministers’ Wives of the Teshie District Assemblies of God paid a special visit to the Borstal Institute located at Roman Ridge. The visit, which took place over the weekend, was marked by the donation of essential food items and the sharing of the Gospel message with children under the care of the institute.
As part of the outreach, the women, led by the National Director for Children's Ministries, Assemblies of God,Ghana, Rev. Mrs. Comfort Wilson-Marfo, ministered hope and encouragement to the children, many of whom have faced difficult beginnings.
Inspiration
Drawing inspiration from the story of Joseph in the Bible who was wrongly imprisoned yet rose to become a Prime Minister, Rev. Mrs. Wilson-Marfo urged the children to remain hopeful and faithful, reminding them that God’s presence in one’s life can turn even the darkest moments into destiny-defining opportunities.
"I encouraged them about the future and the greatness that lies ahead when one walks with God,” said one of the ministers who shared the message with the children. “They may have been rejected or gone through pain, but they are not forgotten.”
Mrs. Abigail Annobil, the District President of the Teshie Ministers' Wives, officially presented the donated items on behalf of the team. The items were received by the Officer in charge of the Counselling Unit at the Institute, DSP Grace Agyeiwaa, who expressed deep appreciation for the timely support and spiritual encouragement.
The donation included assorted food items such as bags of rice, cooking oil, canned goods, and snacks to support the nutritional needs of the children.
