The President of the Assemblies of God Ghanaian Fellowship of the United States of America, Rev. Dr. Andrew Anane Asane, and his wife, Rev. Mrs. Evelyn Anane Asane, have paid a courtesy visit to the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, at the church’s head office in Accra.
The visit formed part of the couple’s itinerary during their ongoing trip to Ghana and served as a moment of fellowship, strategic dialogue, and mutual encouragement between the leadership of the church at home and abroad.
2026 World Congress
Discussions during the meeting centered on the upcoming 2026 World Congress of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, a landmark global event that will bring together Assemblies of God leaders and members from across the world.
The World Congress will take place from October 14-16, 2026, in Accra, and will welcome more than 10,000 delegates from across the world as it will become the first country in Africa to host the event.
The leaders explored how the Ghanaian Assemblies of God community both local and in the diaspora could play a pivotal role in the planning, participation, and promotion of the Congress.
Appreciation
As a gesture of goodwill and appreciation, Rev. Stephen Wengam presented special gifts from the General Council of Assemblies of God, Ghana, to the visiting couple.
Rev. Dr. Asane expressed his admiration for the growth and transformation taking place in Assemblies of God, Ghana, under the leadership of Rev. Wengam.
