The Central Region B of Assemblies of God, Ghana was honoured to host the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, and his wife, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, in Assin Atonsu near Assin Fosu on Thursday, May 22,2025.
The visit by the General Superintendent and his wife is part of the 2025 Apostolic Visit—a flagship initiative under the Transformation Agenda.
Atmosphere,prayer
The event was marked by a powerful revival, renewal of marriage vows, and a renewed commitment to the service of God. The atmosphere was deeply spiritual and electrified by the presence of the Holy Spirit.
As is customary, Rev. Wengam led the congregation in three and a half hours of fervent prayer, ushering all present into a powerful encounter with God. He also took time to share key highlights from the recent Executive Presbytery meeting held in Takoradi, offering insight into the church’s forward direction.
Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, First Lady of Cedar Mountain Chapel Assemblies of God who is also the National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association, shared heartfelt exhortations and extended love to Retired Ministers, their spouses, widows, and Pastors’ Wives.
This was accompanied by the distribution of high-quality cloths and an undisclosed cash gift, symbolising care and unity.
Presentation
The Central Region B Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Rev. Efiinu Kwaku Obiako and his wife, Mrs. Anastasia Efiinu, who also serves as the Regional President of the Ministers’ Wives Association, presented a full cloth and a half piece of premium Kente cloth to the First Family as a token of the region's appreciation.
In a touching moment, the young son of Rev. Joseph Yeboah presented a handmade portrait of Rev. Wengam, showcasing youthful creativity and honour for leadership.

The General Superintendent and his wife expressed profound gratitude for the warm reception and generous gifts.
Rev. Efiinu, in response, described the visit as “a truly divine gesture” and conveyed heartfelt thanks on behalf of the entire region.
The ceremony was not only colourful and impactful but also holistic in spiritual depth and community engagement—a memorable start to what promises to be a transformative year for the Assemblies of God, Ghana.
