The Greater Accra East Regional Women’s Ministries of Assemblies of God, Ghana has hosted the third edition of its annual prayer programme, “Women in His Presence" at the Glory Chapel Assemblies of God, Sakumono in the Nungua District.

Over 2,000 women from various churches across the region attended the event, uniting in worship and intercession. The programme brought together women from all auxiliary groups of the Women's Ministries, including Joy Fellowship, Young Singles (YS), and Missionettes.

The annual prayer programme was aimed at providing a platform for women to seek God's guidance and direction for the rest of the year. The event was marked by powerful prayers, worship, and fellowship among the attendees.

Importance

Speaking to AGTV News, the Regional Director of Women’s Ministries, Reverend Mrs. Georgina Abotsi, emphasised the importance of prayer, describing it as the key to overcoming challenges. "Women must make prayer a priority because it is the foundation for victory in every aspect of life," she said.

The Lead Pastor of Maranatha Revival Assemblies of God, Rev. Kingsley Appiah-Agyei, also encouraged the women to persist in prayer regardless of circumstances.

"Hannah prayed even in the midst of ridicule, and God answered her. Women must learn to take everything to God in prayer," he noted.

Impactful

The Regional Organiser for Young Singles, Rev. Mrs Florence Boatemaa Semenyo, highlighted how impactful the programme has been for young women, inspiring them to deepen their relationship with God.

Similarly, the Regional Organiser for Missionettes, Mrs. Jemima Sekyi-Yorke, described the event as "awesome," commending the women for their dedication to prayer and faith.

She shared her personal experience with AGTV News, expressing gratitude for the platform and the opportunity to connect with other women in worship.

Spiritual empowerment

The "Women in His Presence" programme continues to be a source of spiritual empowerment, equipping women within the Greater Accra East Region to face the year with renewed faith and strength.
